This week, the Long Term Care provisions of ObamaCare were effectively eliminated as unworkable by Obama’s own HHS. This eliminated half of the accounting fraud (What? The word is tricks when Congress does them? Why?) that required the CBO to score ObamaCare as deficit reduction. (Congress rigs the game and sets the rules, the CBO provides the analysis based on Congress’ fraudulent assumptions, and the tax payers get shafted today or, with interest, tomorrow.)
A half trillion dollars in debt service now. A trillion before you know it.
Just bill it to the 1%, say the union thugs at Occupy Everything. (Must be Occupy Everything, Occupy Wall Street would be just a crime, noise, and health hazard on the island of Manhatten. These guys are oozing into every jurisdiction with suppressed 2nd Amendment rights.) In between trying to block the Brooklyn Bridge, defecating on police cars, eating their gratis box lunches (courtesy of the Los Angeles City Council), and killing a long scheduled food drive in Boston by refusing to relinquish their space when their permit expired (huge, huge kudos to Kevin Eder and the Right Sphere for stepping in and establishing a completely new fund raiser on no notice to help make up for the Occupy Everything hate against the hungry of Boston), and, of course, accepting the endorsements of Nanny Pelosi and the not quite just yet retired John McCain.
The 1% as a group, you see, the top earning 1%, pay way more taxes and create way more jobs than everyone else. And risk way more on the investments necessary to keep our economy growing and adapting. Unlike Barack Obama, who is to jobs what Godzilla is to buildings and civic infrastructure. Obama has been death to affordable energy, death to the health care market, death to jobs.
The “Occupiers” are staging their theatrics in deep blue jurisdictions with firm policies of catch and release and crippling union influence. New York, Boston, DC, Denver, Austin (not Dallas, not Houston, Austin), Atlanta. It is not a coincidence that these jurisdictions are also in deep financial straits.
With non-anglophones pulling $10 an hour and anglophones pulling $22, plus overtime, expect this nonsense to continue until the car wash industry is fully recovered.
But whenever I hear about the 1%, my brain says it is the 1% that actually is represented by these astroturf “protestors”. They demand, foul, corrupt, and profane whatever they touch. The ones that demand free cable, free college, free narcotics, free lunches, and so on ad infinitum. These are the loafers and natural serfs blue collar emigrated from, seeking opportunity instead.
Be Warned: When we pay for something, we get more of it.
The Looney Left, this President included, has dreamed of riots in the streets of America and the violent overthrow of the American Constitution for a Century. But this ugly astroturf clown show, and ObamaCare, are their best bid.
Health care costs have sky rocketed since ObamaCare was passed. The family doctor will disappear in short order, retired away from the steamroller of health care regulations spewing from DC hourly. When the price controls go into effect, queues will form and the most important person in deciding whether your child or mine lives or dies will be on a federal panel. The hated health insurance companies, who have slugged it out all of these years for a petty 2% margin, will collapse. The death panels, the “health” czar, will now make our decisions for us. Out of your reach. Out of mine. As accountable as the IRS, the American health consumer will have no rights, no health care marketplace left.
And how’s that job market working out for you again? The muddled thinking in top left political circles is that these demonstrators, this chaos, is what they need to drive a final stake in American free market capitalism, bring America’s Fortune 500 to heel, and reduce the American wage earner to inescapable serfdom.
As an alternative to this vision, the Inevitable Romney offers us…more of the same. RomneyCare has already done to Massachusetts what ObamaCare is just starting to do to America. The American tax payer making up the difference in spendthrift Massachusetts, thanks to the largesse of Congress. (It’s just money, we print the stuff, no problemo!)
Inevitable Romney is the opponent the Democrats want. Just his presence as the Republican nominee would validate ObamaCare. We hear he is the next in line. (By standard Republican rules, that would actually be Sarah Palin as the past VP nominee, but pretend not to notice.) Your family doctor just called, he thinks he’s found a McMansion that would be perfect for your growing family. And you should talk to his nurse practitioner about life insurance opportunities. ObamaCare has changed the game there, as well!
A headache? Sorry, can’t help there any more. Try the new, federally sanctioned HealthCorpse, LLC.
So my choices are Cain, a man smart enough to see the rising horror the federal government is inflicting on this great country. Or Inevitable Romney, whose hubris has left the ever willing spendthrift state of Massachusetts sucking at the federal teat to support their reckless health choices.
Electable? In 2012? Really?
